Soft Rose Gold + Pink Lips Makeup Look

Today I have a glam look for you featuring sultry eyes and a bright pink lip! I haven’t been feeling very well the past few days, so I decided to try and revive myself with some skincare and a fresh makeup look. After showering and cleansing my skin with the Vasanti Rejuvenating Scrub (GET IT HERE) and my Absoloution Cleanser (GET IT HERE) I used my brand new moisturiser from Elizavecca. This is a Korean brand and the cream is called the Milky Piggy face lotion, it seems great so far! As I’m ill I wanted something very rich to prep my skin and to keep it free from dry areas.

  1. Start with freshly prepped skin. Prime using the Collection 2000 primer around the nose and the Pur Brightening primer elsewhere.
  2. Apply foundation with a brush or beauty blender, I’m using MAC Studio Fix Fluid in NC15. Then apply concealer where needed, especially under the eyes to brighten. I’m using the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly.
  3. Contour with the Collection 2000 stick in Light, then set with Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer. Add a touch of The Balm Frat Boy Blush!
  4. Highlight with MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Warm Rose, with a touch of Sleek’s Solstice palette in the centre cheekbone.
  5. Using the Model Co Brow Gel in Medium/Dark, apply this to eyebrows. Fill in brows with Anastasia Dipbrow in Ash Brown (Pretty sure this is a bit dark for me!)
  6. Tightline with Maybelline Master Drama Eye Pencil in Black.
  7. Using the Stila Trust in Love eyeshadow palette or similar, apply a matte colour that is close to your natural skin tone.
  8. Using a matte grey/taupe shade, apply this softly to the crease, then apply a warm brown shade in the outer crease and blend thoroughly.
  9. Apply a rosy/orange colour to the lid, and inner corners of the eyes. Add an even lighter shade to the inner corner to awaken the eye.
  10. Apply winged liner, I used Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. Apply mascara, I used Roller Lash from Benefit.
  11. I finished with an LA.Splash Velvet Matte liquid lipstick in Goals AF!

I hope you enjoy this look!

May Collective Beauty Haul

So I’ve recently purchased quite a few beauty items from different places, some ordered online and some in stores. These are items I’ve wanted for a while, and I’m glad I bought them, even if my bank account isn’t too happy about it! These items have all become quick favourites, and I’ll definitely do full reviews on some of them. There are products from a range of brands, and even a few new ones I’ve never tried.

The first items I bought this month are from Stila, one of my favourite brands.  I bought the Trust In Love Gift set and The Beauty In Bloom Convertible Colour Trio. They have AMAZING eyeshadows, with very little fall out and a great colour range. I also love multi-use items, and I would love to travel with the convertible colour products. I’m thinking about doing a travel essentials post soon? Let me know what you think below!

These are the two face products I bought this month, and they’ve recently become favourites! The first is the Dior Airflash foundation that I’ve had my eye on for months. It creates an amazing, flawless, airbrush finish, and is honestly one of the most perfect foundations I think I’ve ever used. I will be posting a look using this later on. The second is the BECCA Glow on the Go set from Cult Beauty. This contains a mini Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight, and the Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal. I’ve been wanting to try a BECCA highlighter for ages, and just…wow. It DEFINITELY lives up to the hype!

The last two products are liquid lipsticks, the first being the coveted Kylie Jenner Lip Kit. I bought the shade Dolce K, but I was NOT spending that much on shipping. So I did a lil ebay search and managed to get this one, new for £20! Pretty good find, and I really like the pencil. The colour is a bit darker than I thought, and I’ll probably go into full detail in a longer review. The last item is Jeffree Star’s liquid lipstick in Doll Parts bought from Cocktail Cosmetics. I love this colour so much, and I’ve been wearing it a lot!

STILA PALETTE £15 (ON SALE)
STILA CONVERTIBLE COLOUR £6.50 (ON SALE)
DIOR AIRFLASH IN 100 £34
BECCA GLOW ON THE GO £20
KYLIE JENNER LIP KIT IN DOLCE K RRP: $29
JEFFREE STAR DOLL PARTS £14

Favourite Shimmer Shades

Hey everyone! Recently, I’ve been a fan of using a darker shade in the crease and applying a soft shimmering shade to the lid, so I would like to share some of my favourites. These each have a different finish and colour, and can compliment many crease shades. These can be used to highlight with, and can be used on the brow bone depending on your skin tone. The first shade is Cherry from Urban Decay, the second is Kitten from Stila, and the third is Mac’s Elite.

These shades are all very soft and pigmented, meaning they blend easily and can be pressed onto the lid for a vibrant look. It is important to find a good quality shimmer shade, as they blend into the crease a lot easier!

Swatches left to right: Cherry, Kitten and Elite. Right: No Flash. Left: Flash
Cherry is a soft light pink with a little glitter and a lot of reflection. It looks best with a primer, as it is the more powdery of the 3 shades. Couldn’t find this shade online for some reason, but they have similar shades such as Polyster Bride, which appears a little less pink but still very pretty. Stila’s Kitten is amazing, I go back a forth with using it and love it more every time I do! I also use this as a highlighter sometimes! Mac’s Elite was Limited Editon, but is a beautiful deep gold shade if you can get your hands on it. These shades are very reflective and are great in dim light as they will still look stunning, and be very flattering! I’m a fan of using glittery and shimmery shades on nights out along with darker colours to add dimension. Using a golden tone with a black or grey can look great!

URBAN DECAY CHERRY (Can’t find online, Polyester Bride is similar)

26th February Haul

After a busy week I got a bit of time to shop on Friday before a hectic weekend of work! I had a craving to go to to TkMaxx so had a look at the makeup and beauty tools section. I recently had a look at the prices of beauty blenders online, as I think it would help with my foundation blending. My skin has not been great recently so I’ve had some problems with my base not blending, very annoying!

imageThe the first thing I noticed was the Trubeauty Aloe infused beauty sponge. I’ve never really heard of the bland but loved the sound of it being alone infused, and the texture looked similar to the beauty blender! I then found a NARS eyeshadow duo in Demon Lover, and was so shocked, as it’s very rare to find NARS on sale. After seeing loads of Youtubers use the Stila Magnificent Metals, I was so happy to find one. Finally I found the Real Techniques travel set, which contains the multitask brush which I really want to try. I’ll be sure to review these items as I use them, I was so pleased with this haul!

Trubeauty Sponge: £3.99 // NARS eyeshadow duo £9.99 // Stila Magnificent Metals £3.99 // Real Techniques brushes £4.99

January 2016 Favourites

So today I decided I HAD to tidy up my room, which was just covered in clothes, empty shopping bags and magazines! I also wanted to do a January favourites post, and couldn’t do that until I had cleared up. As I went through everything, I pulled out items and products that I knew I’d used a lot over the month of January. I also discovered products that I’d been suing a lot that were just buried under a pile of other things!

One of my main favourites is Victoria’s Secret, as they recently opened a store at my closest shopping centre. I’ve bought loads of underwear and 2 bras from there, and they are so comfortable and well worth the price. I really want to get the PINK sporty bralet, as the material is so lovely! I also received the Noir Tease perfume, which is an amazing fresh vanilla scent. It is quite pricey but I received it as gift, so would be a lovely present to ask for or get someone else!

Another scent I haven’t used loads but love is the Hollister Palisades Beach body spray, and with the awful winter weather, it reminds me of summery days. In the background you can see one of my favourite clothing pieces, the Hollister patterned A line skirt. It has been a great way to get out of jeans without having to wear very floaty skirts, as it is more of a straight style.

I loved using the Sanctaury Spa and Simple toners, to refine my pores and clean my skin. I use them with a cotton pad and buff them into my skin, and they both leave my face feeling fresh. My Stila in the moment palette has been amazing at creating soft and smokey looks, and the shades stay in place through the rain and wind! Review on palette here.

Another long lasting product that has been phenomenal with staying power is the Jeffree Star liquid lipstick in shade Celebrity Skin, it has become my go to lip colour.

I’ve also been loving the Smashbox brushes, with the dual ended one being my favourite. The bristles are perfect for each function, and I particularly love the brow brushes. They add product and also neaten the brows at the same time!

Palette Reviews

Hey! So I would like to do an in depth review of one or more of the palettes that I own as I think it can be helpful to know all about this kind of product, as they are usually more expensive. I will include photos, swatches and an eye look. If this sounds interesting and you would like to know more about one of these palettes let me know! I would also like to do a Mac lipstick collection with swatches. Let me know how you feel about this and I will get on it!

Stila Liquid Lipstick in Aria

A shade I’ve had for a while but don’t wear enough is the Stila stay all day Liquid Lip in ‘Aria’ which is a dark purple-berry shade.  This is a great colour for autumn and is flattering on even very fair skin tones. The wear on this liquid lipstick is very long, and it does require makeup remover to get off. It can be reapplied throughout the day, but minimal layering helps to keep the texture smooth. Adding a wet layer on a dry one can cause a slight crumbly feeling in some cases. Because the staying power is so good, you don’t need to reapply often!

I love this shade with a neutral tones eye for everyday wear, but if you want to be all out dramatic with your look, go for it! This ahde is velvety matte and is therefore not hydrating on the lips. If you are prone to dry lips try using a lip scrub and/or balm beforehand!

This formula is great and I would love to get more shades!

Stila Eyeshadow Palette

One  of my best Xmas gifts is the Stila in the moment palette! This beautiful, purple toned palette including an eyeliner. I have never used Stila shadows except for the single shade ‘Kitten’ which I like when used just on the lid The shadows in this palette are some of the best quality shadows I have ever used, they are very pigmented but not chalky, and create no fallout!

I created a purple eye look with this palette, to show how blend able and pretty they are!

As you can see the colours flatter green eyes, and blend into each other. I love this palette, and the brown shades are beautiful too. They are not glittery, and have more of a satin finish, with a slight shimmer. I was going to finish with a neutral lip but ended up using my new Chanel lipstick which is a fairly bright pink! Always end up looking very colourful!

Gold and Grey Eyeshadow

Having a fairly chill morning trying to get some stuff done, so dressed casual ad comfy. But as I might be going out later to run some errands, I decided to at least have nice makeup (even though I’ve been in my pajamas most of the day!) Therefore I decided to do a look I’ve been into recently, using a couple of new things, and some old favourites.

For my eyes I used Stila’s ‘Kitten’ eye shadow, a neutral gold shimmery shade. This is quite sheer but can be built up if using an eye primer, so I used Smashbox 24 Hour eye primer. I also used their shadow triplet for my eyebrows.

I also used Estee Lauder lipstick (will list shade here)

Hope you like this cool toned, winter look! x
