Current Favourite Bath Products!

I can only apologise for lack of posts in the lack few months! I’ve been struggling with ideas but I’ve got some new content on beauty, fashion and fitness coming. I feel like I don’t talk about bath and shower products enough! I’m someone who loves a bath, especially for workout recovery. The products I’m going to talk about today are amazing to feel energised and relaxed. Let’s get into the items!

1. The Creme Shop Double Cleanser: This is such a lovely cleanser! It’s a 2 in 1 and foams up to remove makeup, dirt and impurities. I like this because it’s easy, simple and I love Korean style skincare. It’s very refreshing and if I feel like my skin is particularly hot and puffy after a workout, this is gentle and cleanses easily.

2. Treacle Moon Marshmallow Hearts Bath and Shower Gel: I absolutely love this brand! I have loved Treacle Moon shower gels for years but they are slightly more expensive than your average. However they are totally worth it because the scent stays on the skin and makes any bath amazing. I use this in the bath or shower as a treat and it’s lovely with a sweet perfume afterwards for some scent layering.

3. Lush Conga Shower Jelly: If you’re looking for a versatile product this is the one. I put a bit of this in the bath to create some bubbles, I use it on my body and it can even be used as a soap. The Conga scent is sweet but fresh and really nice to make your skin soft. As someone with dry skin, this really makes a difference when used on my arms and legs!

4. Soap and Glory Shower Cream: This is just an all around good shower cream! It makes your skin soft and smooth but doesn’t lather too much which I actually like sometimes. You also get SO much for what you pay and it’s perfect for multi use.

5 Sand and Sky mask: Okay, the hype is real! This mask is so good I love it so much. I’ve tried it a few times and it really does tighten and brighten for me. I have slightly oily skin in my T-Zone so this is ideal for me. This would work for lots of people because it’s not overly stripping and feels light on the skin. I love!

I hope you enjoyed this post! Leave a comment telling me your current favourites below and let me know if you’ve tried anything!

7th May Haul

Hey everyone! Sorry I’ve been gone for so long, there’s so many posts I want to do but I’ve been very busy! Thankfully, I have now finished college, and will have a lot more time. Last week I received my Lush order in my post, and then bought some more items in store. The order contained 2 Karma Komba Shampoo Bars, which (annoyingly) can now only be purchased online. These are amazing and I have a review on them Lush Karma Shampoo

The items I bought in store are all new to me! The first is the Rose Jam bubble roon, shaped like a macaroon and covered in glitter. This s beautiful product and smells really sweet and uplifting! The second is the You’ve Been Mangoed  bath oil. I have used a bath oil before and loved it, and I thought this one looked great. It is a small buttery feeling product that releases calming oils into the bath. Lastly is the Creamy Candy bubble bar, a bright pink bubblegum scented product. It melts into bath water and creates a creamy pink colour and bubbles. It is a very comforting and sweet one!

Hope you enjoyed, I will be back later with a makeup look of a certain someone…👑🐝

Can you guess who? Comment below! Also please check out my recent posts 😘

Product Empties No. 1

After I noticed some empty bottles piling up I decided to have a clear out and collect up all my empties from recent weeks. These are a mix of makeup, skincare and bath shower products. I will make this simple by rating each product and saying if I would buy it again. I will write full reviews on products that require more detail in time! It was definitely helpful to do this, as I gathered up all my empties I could find for this post and cleared a bit of space for myself.

Lush Stardust Bath Bomb

Another lovely item I received for Christmas was the Stardust bath bomb from Lush. This pretty product looks lovely but has a surprise underneath the simple exterior. The exterior is a simple white with flecks of gold shimmer. When used it contains a vibrant blue glitter inside that fizzes away in the bath leaving behind a powder blue colour. This bath bomb smells sweet and sugary but in a mild, uplifting way.

It is very similar to the Golden Wonder bath bomb, as they have similar colours and scents. From what I remember this one is a little less fruity and more sweet! I would definitely use this again as it is a very refreshing bath bomb that helps relax muscles. It is a great bath bomb from Lush, as usual!

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb

One of Lush’s exclusive Christmas products that has been very popular is the Golden Wonder bath bomb. This product is a beautiful, gold glitter coated bath bomb with blue inside! Your bath water ends up as a blue and gold galaxy, that softens the skin and smells amazing. I used this after a long day, when my muscles were aching. The effect is very beautiful and I even took a short video of it fizzing away!

The blue blue on the inside was unexpected! I thought it was gold all the way through, but I as pleasantly surprised! The scent reminds me of their ocean style products, and was very clean and fresh.

Overall this was this was a very pleasant product to use and wish they did them year round! It was very pigmented and my water stayed a beautiful colour for ages!

Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner

Something I got for Christmas that I really love is the Lush Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner! The texture of this is so light which is great for many skin types. I have dry skin but recently it has become a little oily, so I can’t always use heavy moisturisers like before. This can be used on the face and body which is great if you’re in a rush, or need a 2-in-1 product

The the scent is rosy, but not too floral. It weirdly reminds me of red wine! But in a good way, just fresh and slightly fruity. I have used this for a few weeks, and need to use it more rather than using heavy creams. It feels very conditioning despite it’s light texture, which is great, as I find some products can compromise results for texture. I would recommend this to all skin types as it is good for both areas of my skin. As its winter I’ve been having issues with dry areas around the eyes, and as my eyes are sensitive I can trust this should be gentle enough to help.

It also contains anti ageing properties! It retails at £16.75, but can be bought in sets which works out a little cheaper!

Lush Bath Cocktail

After a not particularly good nights sleep, I decided to freshen up and test out some new Lush products by combining different bath items. I wanted to make something to relax my muscles but also rejuvenate. I started off by adding Snow Fairy (Review in previous post) as I had a bit left in my current bottle, and the last bit of my Comforter shower cream.

After using these two up I added the Karma Bubble Bar, which was recently reformulated and reshaped. It was originally an orange and yellow swirl, and its now a purple pyramid with gold glitter. image
I have used the Karma bar before, and this one has been cut in half. I usually use about 1/4 per bath, so it lasts a while! The smell is similar to the shampoo bar, and is fresh and rejuvenating. On the left of the above image, is Twilight, which I received for Christmas. It contains lavender and is therefore very mild, I will probably use this one in the shower instead of the bath!

The other products I used when in the bath is the Karma Komba shampoo bar (looking a little flat in the picture!) and the Whoosh shower jelly. I love shower jelly’s due to their versatility, as they can be used in the bath, shower or even the hair. This one smells like fresh lemons and can really wake you up, I used a little on my neck and face to bring life to my skin.

I was so pleased with this combination of products, and I’m now feeling so relaxed and refreshed! x

Lush Empties Today!

So I’ve just had a lovely bath made from a cocktail of Lush products, both new and old. When adding different products I noticed I have 3 empties to share with you! image

The first is a new one for me, the American Cream conditioner. My hair has been in fairly poor condition lately, mostly due to to the weather! It has been very windy causing my hair to be quite dry due to tangling. This conditioner smoothed my hair out and has made it much softer and sleeker. The scent is described as ‘vanilla milkshake’ which is definitely fitting! The smell is light and not overpowering, and is very gentle on the skin/hair. One drawback is it did not last long at all, but I have quite long hair and use a LOT of conditioner each time. Because of this it only lasted about 5 washes (100g pot) so I would recommend getting a bigger size or using it maybe only once a week instead of for every wash!

The second is the Snow Fairy shower gel, which is a Christmas Limited Edition product. It appears in Lush shops every Xmas and this is my first year trying it and it is one of my holy grail shower gels! It creates a bubblegum scented lather that can be used as a bubble bath or as a shower scrub. I have even used this on my face, around my nose and it had made my skin less dry and so soft! This is a beautiful gentle product and thankfully I received another for Christmas in the bigger size!

The last is The Comforter shower cream that I have already reviewed!

Next post will be about my Lush bath cocktail 🙂 x

Lush Karma Shampoo

As of December 2015 I haven’t used liquid shampoo in 7 months! Some may be thinking that the only form shampoo comes in, is liquid, but Lush has changed this. There are 11 different formulas and scents available from Lush, and my personal favourite is the Karma. As someone with sensitive scalp, I was aiming to find something mild, but still with a fresh, lasting fragrance. After seeing posts about them I decided to try one for myself. They have changed the life of my hair, as it used to lack volume, but using these adds texture.

The lather when using these is more than enough to clean long hair, and they last a long time. The fragrance is fruity and fresh, and for some reason reminds me of rain forests! I would definitely recommend any of the shampoo bars, but this one is particularly good for adding volume, and for sensitive skin. This particular bar is online exclusive, but others can be found in all Lush stores.
