Ofra Pillow Talk Review

Hope you are all well, today I will be reviewing a new highlighter I recently purchased. I got a mini size of the Ofra Pillow Talk highlighter in the Staycation set from Beauty Bay! They always have some amazing offers on there so I decided to pick up the set. This highlight comes in white packaging and it is quite chunky so just be aware in case you want something that will fit in a makeup bag. The mini size is generous and you don’t need a lot of product at all.

The colour looks very pink in the pan but is less so on the skin and when blended in. It is very reflective and luminous as you can see in the swatch. You only need a very small amount for an intense glowy look. I would recommend being light handed as using too much can emphasise skin texture if you’re trying to avoid that! Overall I would recommend trying this out it is truly a highlight that is different to all my others.

Skincare Routine// Spring 2019

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a lovely day wherever you are. Today I want to share with you my current skincare routine that I’ve been loving. My skin is doing really well at the moment apart from this one dry patch on chin which is just typical! Apart from that, these products have worked really well and improved my skin a lot. I’ve also been trying to wash my face for around 60 seconds, I read about this tip in Cosmo. It actually makes a big difference as you are washing your face more thoroughly.

CC7E6E2F-BA6B-46AF-B25A-C41E2CDF74D3So some of these you may of seen these before but mostly these are new products. I’ve been doing this routine for a while now! These are products I use after cleansing, I still haven’t found a perfect face wash yet, so I may include that in my next routine. I start with the Pixi Glow Tonic on a cotton pad to tone the skin. This is a beautiful product! I then use either the Clinique Dramatically Different moisturiser or the L’Oreal Triple Active Day cream, both of these are really nice! I use the Clinique more occasionally as it’s more moisturising but takes a little longer to sink in.

If I want to depuff my skin and cool it I use the Milk Makeup Cooling Water. I love this product! It’s gently hydrating and super refreshing. I also find it plumps the skin. I also use the Polaar Icy Magic Eye roller when I want to give my undereyes some attention. This product has been a favourite for a long time now!

I hope you enjoyed this post! If you have any blogs to recommend comment down below!

September Makeup Haul (06/10/2018)

So I have some new products to share with you today! I picked these up over the weekend after I went to a vintage fair. I didn’t buy ANYTHING at the fair which was a shame so I decided to get some makeup instead. Some of these are favourites and some are new! I will also be giving a brief review of these products.

So I have 2 NYX products here, as in the Boots in town they finally stock their products! I purchased the Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown. Last time I used this I used the shade Taupe but it was a bit too light and I used it up quite quickly because of this. Hopefully this colour is better! I also purchased the Suede lip Pencil in Los Angeles. This is a great colour but the Pencil is very soft and broke the first time I used it annoyingly so go careful. I also bought the Lancôme Teint Idole in 005 which came with two free gifts! A primer and a brush, and I actually like them both! The foundation is one of my favourites ever, it’s so lovely and lasts ages. Lastly I bought the Benefot Bad Gal Bang Mascara which is a new favourite of mine. It creates amazing volume and length! I hope you enjoyed this haul!

I hope you enjoyed this empties post!

The Ordinary Coverage Foundation Review!

So this Foundation is a super hyped and talked about product which means I HAD to test it out! I’ve filmed a review video with a wear test which is up on my YouTube but I’ll recap some pros and cons down below.

PROS: Good colour, very neutral toned. Smooth application and blends fairly well. Not shiny or oily in any way, has a soft matte finish, super affordable and accessible!

CONS: Not the best wear time, can look a bit dry on my skin type, best with a more hydrating Primer.

Artist Couture Gold Digger Review and Swatches

So as you probably know I’m a HUGE highlighter junkie. I love collecting different types and testing new ones because to me they’re all so unique! This highlighter is new to me and from the brand Artist Couture which you can now get on Beauty Bay. I’m so glad these are now available in the UK because I’ve wanted one for sooooo long! I originally wanted a different shade, Illuminati, but it was sold out at the time. I opted for Gold Digger which is a gorgeous light gold toned shade. These are loose powders so very unique and different, I apply mine with a Smashbox fan brush.

This powder is very finely milled and therefore doesn’t emphasise texture. It blends really softly and can look blinding or natural depending on your desired look. I really love the colour and definitely want to try more. I find the packaging a little messy but hey, that happens with any loose products! (Maybe I’m just messy!!)

I would totally recommend this, especially for fair skin!

OOTD: Chilly Coffee Date!

This is a super simple, monochromatic outfit perfect for chilly days! I live in England which has sunny spells but with cold air at this time of year. I wore this look for a coffee date, so it’s perfect for a casual trip out. You could definitely add a scarf but this day wasn’t super cold so I just went with a longsleeved top and a padded coat.

This outfit is again basic but very simple and easy, which is what I usually go for when it’s cold! This top is very warm and cosy and great if you’re tall due to the super long sleeves. I’m 5″10 so have a bit of a struggle finding tops with long sleeves, so I definitely want to make a YouTube video about the best shops for long arms!

How cute are these boots? They’re Jeffrey Campbell but second hand because they’re very expensive, and I really wanted this exact style. They have a cross design of gold studs so are super unique. The jewellery I’m wearing is my Raven necklace from ShopDixi that I always wear. Then these earrings are super cute little bees and I love them. I’m usually wearing huge earrings but these make a nice change.

Anatomicals Best Sellers!

So after working with The Blogger Programme I was able to collaborate with Anatomicals! They make my all time favourite body scrub so I was so excited to try more from this brand, who have really lovely skincare products. They offered to send me a few things to try so let’s go! AB38E6AD-B65C-4533-BECB-05E8C337B1EB The thing I love about their face masks is that they all have different specifications! I’ve been using the Anti Blemish face mask (the pink one!!) and it’s great! It doesn’t dry out your skin which is something I’ve found with other anti blemish masks. I’ve been using it recently when I have a spare 5 minutes as my skin has been very sad recently, very dry and prone to blemishes! This has helped with both problems! I’ve also been testing the Never Lose Your Cherry lip balm and wow is this my new addiction!! It smells so good first of all, and the formula is thick without being super sticky. I’ve been reaching for this loads and it made it into my last monthly favourites video! Check out my channel if you get a chance! Anyway thank you so much to Anatomicals, I loved these so much!

Dior Airflash Foundation Review

A high-end luxury item that I had my eye on is the Dior Airflash foundation. This is quite a pricey product, but is a favourite among bloggers and YouTubers. Jeffree Star and Manny MUA are fans, and therefore I was excited to try it out. This is supposed to create a very airbrushed flawless finish, with a softly diffused and blended look. It is also supposed to blend very easily!

It comes in a spray can, and can be sprayed directly on to the face, onto a beauty blender or onto a brush. I use this with a beauty blender, but it’s very easy to blend out, so a brush would be fine! This product is definitely worth the money and creates an amazing finish, different to any product I’ve ever used. It blew me away when I used it for the first time, and I will be saving it for more special occasion days. The texture is very light, and I believe it would work for many skin types. I myself I have mainly very day skin, and this seems to work well with it and doesn’t create a dry appearance. It creates a soft glow to the skin without being overly dewy, which I love! I would recommend using a light coverage powder with this, as it provides good coverage and the drying texture is quite matte already. It can definitely be layered/built up!

I would definitely recommend this product if you’re in the market for a more expensive foundation. It is £34.50 in Debenhams, but varies slightly in different places. I would recommend asking the counter to match you just to be sure! I’m in the lightest shade 100 Ivory!

Thank you for reading! What’s your holy grail foundation for special events?
